Join us for a magical evening at GLOW Reading Lantern Parade!

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a touch of enchantment at the Reading Lantern Parade on Saturday 15th February at 5:30pm.

Bring your loved ones and experience the magic of hundreds of beautifully crafted lanterns glowing in the night. Whether you’re celebrating with a partner, family, or friends, this illuminated parade with drumming and music is the perfect way to make your Valentine’s unforgettable.

Join us at 5:30pm outside the Broad Street Mall on St. Mary’s Butts for a night of light, love and laughter.

Info and times for people with lanterns wanting to join the Parade:

Meet the team at the back of the Broad Street Mall on Hosier Street by Blue Collar Food between 4.30pm and 4.45pm at the latest.

The team will check your lantern and brief you on how to handle the lantern safely. When you register on the day each child will be also given a wristband with your/their guardians phone number on it for safety.

The parade will begin at 5.30pm.

The parade finishes at the Town Hall Square.

Visit the lantern desk to extinguish your candle and return the bamboo pole. The parade will take place in light rain so please dress appropriately.

The event will bring colour and light to the dark February night sky and the choir, drumming troupe, large sculptural lanterns and projections are ready to go!

Jelly hope you can still join them and keep your lanterns safe until that date!

Jelly will  be able to make minor repairs on the night.
