Mental Health Awareness Week 

13th – 19th May 2024

Join us on a journey of discovery as we explore how ‘the little things’ can make a big difference this Mental Health Awareness Week.

From turning your favourite tunes up and having a boogie to getting off the bus a stop early to get those extra steps in. These little things all add up and can often have a big impact on boosting positive mental health!

Throughout the week, we will be sharing a whole range of little things you can do to help support positive mental health. From informative resources and expert guidance to fun facts and hugs from Topsy! Check out everything we have going on to help raise awareness for positive mental health. Plus, make sure you keep up to date with our socials throughout the week, especially as you don’t want to miss our very own Topsy attempting either the Macarena or Cha Cha Slide. Stay tuned as we will be giving you the power to decide!

If that’s not enough we have a whole range of daily little tips that will help your mental health throughout May.

Monday 13th May – Win a Little

We are kicking off the week by giving you the chance to win a selection of vouchers to enjoy yourself or gift to a loved one! Keep an eye out on our socials to see how you can enter.

Tuesday 14th May – Love a Little

Today, we will be working to spread the love! We have partnered with Together for Mental Wellbeing UK who are a charity offering a wide variety of support to people experiencing mental distress. Come along to meet the charity and learn more. Plus, they will be exhibiting a range of artwork created within their weekly workshops which visitors will be able to enjoy.

Wednesday 15th May – Move a Little

Finding moments for movement in your daily life is essential for positive wellbeing! We have partnered with Yoga Reading who will be sharing the importance of moving more for your mental health on our socials.

Thursday 16th May – Dance a Little

Today we will be embracing #WearItGreenDay with a little boogie and free hugs from Topsy! Head down to Broad Street Mall between 11am-4pm to join in with the fun. We will be working to raise awareness and donations towards the Mental Health Foundation throughout the day!

Friday 17th May – Laugh a Little

We will be highlighting the benefits of laughing a little today! Something we often don’t consider being an essential tool for positive mental health. We will be highlighting all the fun you can have with your pals down at Broad Street Mall today.

Saturday 18th May – Care a Little

It’s self-care Saturday! We at Broad Street Mall care A LOT for our community, so we are giving you the chance to win a self-care hamper! This will be filled with everything you need to relax and unwind. Make sure to keep an eye out on our socials where all will be revealed.

Sunday 19th May – Learn a Little

The more normalised mental health conditions are, the more comfortable people will be opening up about their own experiences. We will be sharing a whole range of mental health resources, to help you learn a little! Check out our wellbeing tips and resources here.
