Broad Street Beats Returns to Kick Off Pride 2026
Broad Street Mall is inviting the local community to celebrate together!
Broad Street Beats returns with a special Pride-themed edition on Saturday 22nd August, from 11am – 3pm.
Live Music to Set the Mood
We’re teaming up with The Rhoom Studios to showcase local music talent, bringing soulful tunes to the heart of Reading with live music throughout the day from 5 local artists – Country Lee Music, Robert Steven Hunt, Purple Roots, Graham Hornby and Franssens.
Lunchtime Music Bingo – audience participation essential!
All visitors on the day can take part in our MUSIC BINGO quiz! All you need to do is collect a bingo card and tick off the music tracks being played. There will be a prize on offer for the winner!
Face Painting and Glitter Tattoos to make you Sparkle and Shine!
Alongside our music showcase, visitors can enjoy FREE Pride-themed face painting and glitter tattoos, on offer throughout the day.
Competition on Event Day
Dress in your brightest, most colourful outfits on the day to take part in the Broad Street Beats Be Bold and Bright competition. With three amazing prizes on offer for the three best dressed participants!
Supporting a National Initiative
This Pride-themed edition of Broad Street Beats will provide a platform for local artists to share their music and enables them to talk about the importance of inclusivity and self-expression, both of which are increasingly important in the modern world.
Supporting Every Little Thing Festival
Broad Street Mall is proud to support Every Little Thing Festival, created in memory of Diva. The festival shines a light on mental health, wellness and suicide prevention, offering hope and support to those who need it most. The team will be attending this next Broad Street Beats event to share their powerful message with the community.
Community
Broad Street Beats brings people together through the power of music and raises awareness of important topics that are often not spoken about openly.
