Events What's On

Saturday 17th May | 11am-3pm

Broad Street Beats is back bringing the local community together through the power of music!

Join us on Saturday 17th May in Central Square for a day of live music from incredible local talent as we mark Mental Health Awareness Week.

Mental health is a topic very close to our hearts here at Broad Street Mall. With this year’s Mental Health Awareness Week themed around community, we’re proud to be hosting an event that aims to bring people together, foster meaningful connections, and promote wellbeing through the uplifting power of live music!

PLUS, there is plenty more to look forward to on the day. Visitors of all ages can take part in a FREE mindfulness themed craft workshop, hosted by Jelly. Topsy, our beloved mascot will also be making a special appearance – spreading joy, sharing kindness, and having a boogie! Plus, we’ll be joined by a number of inspiring mental health charities and community organisations, who will be on hand to offer support, share resources, and highlight ways to get involved.

This event is just the beginning – we’ll be hosting multiple Broad Street Beats showcases throughout the year, so stay tuned for upcoming event dates and exciting announcements!

A big shout-out to our fantastic partner, The Rhoom Studios, who will be supporting with our showcase on the day.

We’re excited to continue our partnership with the Every Little Thing Festival – a powerful initiative held annually in September, dedicated to raising awareness around mental health, wellness, and suicide prevention. The festival was created by Sinead Gibson in memory of her daughter, Diva Gibson, who tragically lost her life to suicide on 10th May 2020. Through this heartfelt project, Sinead continues to work tirelessly to support those facing mental health challenges and to offer hope and help to anyone in need. Sinead will be with us to help raise awareness and support the important conversation around mental health on the day!
