How To Donate To Topsy’s Teddy Bear Mission

Have a teddy bear ready for a new adventure?

This Christmas, you can help give a child the comfort of a cuddly companion by taking part in Topsy’s Teddy Bear Mission, in partnership with The Teddy Trust.

Donating is easy! Simply bring your teddy bear to Santa’s Grotto at Broad Street Mall and speak to one of Santa’s elves. They’ll help get your bear ready for its special journey to a new home with a child who needs a little extra comfort and kindness.

What makes the perfect teddy bear?

The Teddy Trust sends soft, cuddly teddy bears to children who have experienced difficult circumstances. For some children, their teddy may be their very first cuddly friend, so choosing the right bear to donate is important.

To make sure your donation can be sent on its adventure, please check your teddy is:

A traditional teddy bear – teddy bears only! No elephants, snakes or other animals.

Clean and in good condition – ready for a child to love and cherish.

Soft, cuddly and comforting – the perfect companion for hugs.

Small enough to carry – no larger than 38cm (15 inches).

Silent – no squeaky or noisy bears with sound effects.

Without batteries – no electronic mechanisms or battery packs included.

The Teddy Trust unfortunately cannot accept dolls, knitted toys, beanie animals, monsters, pigs, nylon pillows, keyrings and themed toys or characters.
