Broad Street Beats Returns to Celebrate Valentine’s 💖🎶

Broad Street Beats is back, bringing the local community together through the power of music! Join us for a heartwarming day of FREE live music, entertainment and Valentine’s-themed activities as we set the mood in the lead up to Valentine’s Day.

Live Music to Set the Mood

We’re teaming up once again with The Rhoom Studios to showcase the very best local talent. Enjoy a feel-good programme of live performances throughout the day, guaranteed to leave you smiling and tapping your feet.

Adding an extra romantic touch, a live Mariachi band will be performing classic love songs, bringing energy, joy and a Valentine’s soundtrack to the centre.

Meet Topsy – Spreading the Love

Our legendary mascot Topsy will be back to bring smiles and joy to the day! He’ll be handing out FREE goodies, striking his best poses for photos and spreading Valentine’s cheer for visitors of all ages.

Competition Time – Get in the Valentine’s Spirit ❤️

Get into the Valentine’s spirit by coming dressed in red or pink on the day for your chance to WIN prizes, including 10 Greggs vouchers up for grabs. It’s all about having fun and celebrating the season of love! Keep your eyes peeled for more exciting prizes to be announced.

Tasty Treats on the Day

Don’t miss out on FREE muffin samples from Muffin Break, with delicious bites available throughout the event.

Support That Makes a Difference

We’re proud to welcome Together UK and The Jessica Project.

Together UK is a local charity supporting people experiencing mental distress, helping them to live independent and fulfilling lives.

The Jessica Project is a survivor-led organisation supporting recovery from sexual violence and domestic abuse. The team will be on hand to raise awareness, share information about their vital services, and offer empowering merchandise.

Supporting the Every Little Thing Festival

We’re honoured to continue supporting the Every Little Thing Festival, created in memory of Diva. The festival raises awareness around mental health, wellness and suicide prevention, offering hope and support to those who need it most. The team will be at Broad Street Beats to share their powerful message with the community.

Local Creativity with Reading Alternative Market

Reading Alternative Market (RAM) will be joining us to talk all about the markets they will be hosting throughout the year, including their upcoming market at Broad Street Mall the following week. RAM was created for those who love something a little different and want to support local makers and independent creatives.

Come along, feel the love, and celebrate Valentine’s with music and community at Broad Street Mall.
