Confidence boost continues at Broad Street Mall Nov. 6, 2017 | In News

                                                                                                             Confidence boost continues at Broad Street Mall

The confidence boost continues at Broad Street Mall shopping centre, as car park operators NCP has recently invested in the upgrade of the mall’s car park with the installation and upgrade of equipment including new pay machines and barrier technology. Changes include the ability for pay machines to take contactless payments plus the introduction of pre-book parking via the Mall’s website to allow customers to pre-book and pre-pay for their car parking in advance and guarantee a space.

The recent refresh forms part of a wider asset refurb across a number of sites within the NCP portfolio. Since taking ownership, shopping centre owners Moorgarth have spent 4million on refurbishing Reading’s original mall which to date has included internal refurbishment, external cleaning and re-branding and the arrival of new retailers;

Yours Fashion, Escape Reading, Fernando’s, Therapists for you, Brother 2 Brother, That’s Thames TV and the relocation of popular vape and coffee lounge from the town centre to 19 Oxford Road.

Candice Chambers, Marketing Officer for Broad Street Mall said:

“The investment from NCP alongside our ongoing investment to improve the shopping centre is a welcome addition to improve the customer experience for shoppers at our mall. One of the ways of enhancing the customer experience for users of the car park is the investment in parking technology. By offering contactless as a payment method means a quicker payment process and the ability for customers to pre-book their parking and guarantee a space can only help to leverage our customer experience and satisfaction especially in the lead up to the mall’s busiest time of year as we move into the Christmas season. We’re delighted to have these improvements in place and believe our customers will find this extremely beneficial”

*Broad street mall car park is operated and managed by NCP under a management agreement with Reading Borough Council.
