Julian Graves Experience Stores

As its name implies, Experience is a new shopping experience for customers.

The new concept is aimed at the luxury snack market and has a product offering that appeals to an audience wider than Julian Graves' traditional shoppers.

Experience branded outlets are very different from Julian Graves branded ones as they are designed to take customers on an exotic journey through the world of luxury food items.

Edinburgh was the venue of the first Experience store (which opened in December 2002) in the food court of the city's Princes Mall. The 830 sq ft outlet has four themed zones representing regions of the world from where products are sourced.

- Caribbean area with beach, wooden sun loungers and steel drums
- Hawaiian zone with black and silver palm tree
- Indian zone with silver and black elephant
- Eastern area with a tropical water feature.

The themed areas are designed to let shoppers reflect on previous holidays and to also offer the opportunity to let customers know where the products are sourced from.

And in a further radical departure from the usual Julian Graves' high street outlet, each Experience interior has a modern eyecatching chrome and black décor, with styled charcoal dresser units and silver fittings, as well as a rotating light to add to the exotic mood.

Julian Graves Flagship Experience store was opened by Lesley Waters, Celebrity Chef , at Weavers Wharf in Kidderminster in November 2003 and received a visit from HRH the Duke of Kent in March 2004 at the official opening of the Weavers Wharf Shopping Centre.
